Olivia Herriford, DM, MBA, is a servant leader with a vision of diverse and inclusive tech work environments. Her career in tech spans 45 years, beginning as a pioneer with a CompSci degree in 1973, leadership roles in the computer hardware & software industry, a long consulting career in IT project management, organizational health & effectiveness, and diversity & inclusion, and now bringing it all together to get more women, African Americans, and Latinx into high-demand tech jobs.
Dr. Herriford does workshops and training on the development of cultural humility as a strategy for counteracting unconscious (and conscious) bias. She is also contributing faculty at Walden University where she mentors doctoral students developing their dissertations.
Olivia did her doctoral research on the relationship between technology organizational culture and the development and application of emotional intelligence in leaders at all levels. She also has expertise in workshop and classroom curriculum development, in addition to her workshops on implicit bias and cultural humility, she has created courses and training in leadership, organizational health, project management, problem-solving, and decision-making.
