Sameer is a Cyber Security practitioner with over 20 years of industry experience of which 10 years has been in the Cybersecurity Education, Skill Development, Awareness function. He has led organisations to develop and strengthen cross-functional teams and establish relationships with the Industry ecosystem.
Being an outlier, he had been instrumental in creating the need for an Indian version of Information Assurance Workforce Skills Framework, which was the only one approved by National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC). He has been a Visiting Faculty to SCIT (Pune) for 4 years where he was entrusted with the task of revamping the MBA – Information Security Syllabi across all domains, while also delivery lectures in various domains of Information Risk and Cybersecurity.
He has also had wide experience in delivery Security Awareness programs for Insurance, Banking (including The World Bank), IT/ITES, Government companies in India and overseas. He has also been an avid promoter of Cyber Awareness programs for school children and their faculty.
