Title / Topic: Raising Cybersecurity Awareness – Essential Training Information for Bank Employees, Officers, and Customers
Speaker: Kimberly Pease, Vice President and Co-founder, Citadel Information Group
There has been a dramatic increase in the number and scale of cybersecurity attacks since the highly visible data breaches at Anthem (2015), Sony Pictures (2014), and Target (2013). This was vividly demonstrated by the Russian government attack against the U.S. during the 2016 election. Indeed, the increasing trend of cybersecurity incidents is projected to only get worse and banks are among the entities at highest risk of being breached. With social engineering being a major attack vector, it is critical for banks to redouble their training and communication efforts to raise cybersecurity awareness for both employees and customers.
Kimberly Pease is a leading authority on information security and has extensive experience developing strong cybersecurity training programs. In addition to being a successful information security consultant, Kimberly is a regular presenter at industry conferences and has been interviewed numerous times by local and national news organizations. In her presentation, Kimberly will be providing an overview of the current cybersecurity threat landscape, the common methods of attack, and the necessity of building a strong program of training and communications to raise risk awareness and avoid being victimized by cyberattacks.
