Security. Privacy. Freedom. … A Conversation with Nicole Perlroth, Award-Winning Author of “This is How They Tell me the World Ends.”

SecureTheVillage presents Nicole Perlroth, Award-winning Cybersecurity Journalist and New York Times Bestselling Author. … An Event By & For Leaders in Cybersecurity.

“This webinar was utterly fabulous. If you would have told me that I would sit for an hour and a half on a webinar about cybersecurity and know that even if it was longer I would still be enjoying it, I might think you’re crazy. But that’s what happened. Vibrant. Engaging. Motivating.” … Rachel Eryn Kalish, M.C. / Facilitator, Mediator, Conflict Resolution Pioneer.

When cybersecurity and privacy leaders come together and develop communities, we accelerate progress toward a secure global village. SecureTheVillage is on a mission to educate, support, and advocate for cybersecurity and data privacy. With our significant national community of cyber leaders and influence via social platforms, we deepen our connection at this event with NYTimes bestselling author Nicole Perlroth. As an ever-growing group of committed cyber change-makers, we seek a more secure tomorrow.

About our speaker Nicole Perlroth: Nicole Perlroth spent a decade as the lead cybersecurity reporter at The New York Times. Her reporting uncovered a host of cyber vulnerabilities in the U.S. for which there were no policy responses, such as Russia’s escalation of cyberattacks on the U.S. and Iran ramping up cyber espionage. She has covered Russian hacks of nuclear plants, airports, and elections; North Korea’s cyberattacks against movie studios, banks and hospitals; Iranian attacks on oil companies, banks and the Trump campaign; and hundreds of Chinese cyberattacks, including a months-long hack of The Times. A Bay Area native, Ms. Perlroth is a guest lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a graduate of Princeton University and Stanford University.

This event was sponsored by Miller Kaplan, Beckage, the Privacy Law Group of the California Lawyers Association, and the IEEE Orange County Computer Section.
