I first achieved CISSP certification in 2005, and while my professional opportunities did not facilitate me maintaining that certification, I continue to watch cybersecurity interests and industry innovations. In addition to advocating for security priorities in numerous projects over the years, I continue to enjoy regularly listening to the Security Now podcast, as well as reading and listening to other informative sources.
In my current role, I lead the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps practices. I work closely with our Directors for IT and for Governance, Risk, and Compliance. While it’s not currently my job title, in some ways, for our smaller organization, I aspire to function as a fractional CISO.
