DEPUTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY WARREN KATO
Warren Kato has been a Deputy District Attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for 21 years. He is currently the Assistant Head Deputy of the Cyber Crime Division where he oversees the Division’s daily operations. He has successfully prosecuted a wide range of crimes that include cyber crimes for the Cyber Crime Division, gang murders for the Hardcore Gang Division, and sex crimes for the Victim Impact Program. Warren has successfully prosecuted many “first of its kind” cases, including one of the nation’s first Synthetic Identity Theft cases in 2014, and more recently, some of the nation’s first Business Email Compromise cases. Warren is the recipient of numerous awards and commendations, including the IAFCI 2019, 2018, & 2015 United States Prosecutor of the Year Awards and the California Lawyer Magazine 2007 Criminal Law Attorney of the Year Award.
