March Discussion Leader: Stan Stahl, PhD, Founder / President, SecureTheVillage.

March Discussion Topic: How to Build the Cybersecurity Habits You Need to Protect Yourself and Your Organization from Cyber Crime and Other Cyber Disruptions.

Why You Need To Attend:

At Cybersecurity Connect in March, we’ll take AARP’s powerful messaging—Pause. Reflect. Protect.—and turn it into an automatic habit to keep the door closed to the cybercriminals and scammers.

In those moments of truth, it's not what you know, it's what you do. In life—and in cybersecurity—that distinction matters. Phishing remains the front door to most cyber incidents. Depending on the study, upwards of 40% of breaches begin with a phishing attack. Not because people are uninformed. But because in that split second—when the email looks urgent, personal, legitimate—knowledge alone isn’t enough. In this moment of truth, the question isn’t “Do you know what to do?” The question is "Do you open the door?"

That’s where habits come in. Like Pavlov's dogs, repetitive automaticity —the brain’s neuroplasticity  — allows us to transform deliberate actions into reflexive ones. As we do so, we build habits that activate every single time.

Dr. Stan Stahl will lead an interactive discussion on turning email safety from something you know into something you do—habitually every time you open your inbox.

Join us in March. Build the habit. Protect the front door.
