About the discussion: Cybersecurity and privacy laws and regulations come from all different directions and change at a breakneck speed. Join us for a participatory discussion of “Recent Developments in Cybersecurity and Privacy Laws and Regulations.” Bob will lead a discussion exploring the direction and challenges posed by the variety of laws, rules, regulations and orders issued by federal and state governments, as well as some private initiatives. The discussion will focus on how we react to these developments.
About Bob: Bob is Co-Chair of the JMBM Cybersecurity and Privacy Group, and specializes in transactions with an emphasis on data security, privacy and information technology. Bob's practice includes establishment and development of strategies to implement computer software, cloud computing, computer hardware, communications and e-commerce solutions, designing and implementing privacy and security programs and protocols, as well as remediating security breaches.
Bob counsels a variety of firms on software development and licensing, franchising, Web sites design and ownership; electronic commerce transactions and related matters. In addition, Bob represents clients in corporate structuring, financing, acquisitions and divestitures; joint ventures and strategic alliances. Bob is also a frequent lecturer as an expert in technology, privacy and data security issues, and is one of only three attorneys in the 2025 listing of Southern California SuperLawyers to be recognized for expertise in Technology Transactions. Bob is on the Advisory Board of SecureTheVillage and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
